Due dates- if you were overdue/early will DC be too?

Hi everyone.

At the beginning of my pregnancy I remember Reading that there is a strong correlation between how late/early you were born to that of your own children, especially your first. eg. If you were two data late it is likely that your first baby will also be two days late...

I can't find the reference now, so was wondering whether anyone else had read this and what the anecdotal evidence from MNetters is- frankly to me it seems highly unlikely to be true!

Sorry about the capital in 'Reading'. Predictive text does that and I'm sure I've never needed to type the name of the town before...!

I was early (7 weeks) and my first DC was early (3 weeks). Currently 34 weeks with DC2 and have an awful feeling I might get to 42 weeks!

I was three weeks early and my DS went 10 days overdue before induction. So no correlation for me!

Don't know, but I'm a twin and was born at 35 weeks by emergency C-section. I'm hoping that doesn't happen with this baby, but she's only one so hopefully not.

I was my Mum's first & two weeks early. I'm 40+10 with my first & still waiting, so no correlation here either.
