When's the latest they will do a first scan?

10 weeks preg with number two and was a bit slack about going to see the GP - so only have first hospital appointment at more than 13 weeks and that's not the dating scan. No idea how soon can have that, I book it at first appointment and presume it'll be a week or so.

Suddenly feel a bit slack and guilty. Anyone know how late they will do the dating scan? Does it matter that it's all running late?

i shouldn't think so? they won't not do it? Mine is late as my mw didn't do the referral i will be 14+2 when i go.

Not sure about a dating scan but do they give you a nuchal fold scan in your area? That should be done between 11 and 13 weeks.

My 20 week scan was my official dating scan, I did have one earlier than that but that was basically to check I was pregnant and that dates were roughly in line. According to my sonographer 20 weeks is the optimum time for getting dates right, but this is at odds with what everyone else outside of my area seems to experience so have no idea if we're behind the times or ahead of the curve!

So they should still be able to do a dating scan even if you are a bit later than usual.

I'm having my first scan a 34+5. But it is just to check placenta and fluid. Not for the dating.

My scan was late too and they told me that the Nuchal scan can be done up to 13+6.

I was 13+4!
