Period pains???

Hey all,
I am 15 wks pregnant and last night was awake all night with period like pains. I couldnt sleep as was paranoid and kept going to the loo every 5mins. Things seems fine, my boobs are like rocks and are leaking already (anyone else having this too)?
Are these pains normal? I keep telling myself they are growing pains?
I have an 8 yr old daughter so have been pregnant before but do not remember these pains.

Any help or advice welcomed.

I think I had similar pains at 20 weeks and ended up at the delivery suite as I was convinced LO was in trouble. Turned out I was suffering from stretching pains and from a pulled muscle from carrying something a bit big up the stairs.

In all likelihood it is nothing to be worried about and it is stretching pains but it is always better to be safe than sorry. You should contact your midwife asap just for reassurance at least.

I've had a lot of 'period' pains this pregnancy. I think some is down to everything stretching and some is down to braxton hicks. Didn't have them last time but I have had loads this time.

I do think it's stretching pains well I hope. Do people get braxton hicks this early? I'm only 4months. Thanks for advice though.

I'm only 4-5 weeks pregnant and I'm feeling srange period like sensations (scared to cough and sneeze!) I really really hope I won't miscarry as I lost a baby last year, the pregnancy was never as strongly confirmed by tests as this one and my boobs hurt and sometimes feel sick but the periody feelings are scaring me, I'm hoping it's just stretching (?) or preparing for things growing and not preparing to miscarry :(:(
Anyone else had mild achy cramps during early pregnancy???

Coupled with the fact that you are urinating a lot I would go and get checked for a UTI asap. I have had 2 so far during pregnancy.

Hi, Im 27 weeks and went to see the midwife the other day after having period type pains for a few days. Turns out I had a urinary tract infection, got antibiotics the next day and all is now fine.
It is prob nothing but I would just check with your midwife if I was you x

I'm 15 weeks and also had these pains last night!!! Think it's all normal though x

jazz - I had lots of stretchy/crampy/period type pains at 4-5-6 weeks too, sure its nothing to worry about :)

hi im 4-5 weeks, and have been having period pains for a few weeks. didnt with 1st 2. hoping all is ok. have heard 2 only get worried when it turns to sharp stabbing pain

i had period pains in early pregnancy and at 15-16 weeks. my doctor said that my uterus must be stretching... if you have no bleeding, then i wouldn't worry. hope you feel better.

Still getting pains but now can't lift legs properly to get dressed etc. Midwife thinks it maybe my pelvis but have to wait a week to see if eases. If not then have to to physio. Still get worried wiv period pains but no show of anything and midwife not too concerned.
