I'm 8+5 and feel fine !! I've had no sickness and only very infrequent waves of very mild nausea! On the other hand, my boobs have been sore & enormous since day 1, and other than a few ugly pimples, nothing else - no exhaustion, no frequent peeing, no funny taste in mouth or adversion to some foods. I'm due to see the MW for my booking appt tomorrow, do you think I should see if there is any chance I could have an earlier scan, or am I worrying over nothing?

Nothing to worry about IME. I didn't have any symptoms other than mild nausea, and then only if I hadn't eaten enough or for a while, and sore boobs. I'm now 32 wks.

Itsthawooluff · 28/12/2010 17:12

I had no nausea at all with either of mine - and now have two strapping DDs. I just counted myself lucky.

Good luck

I felt great with my first pregnancy. Full of energy, really healthly. I'm pregnant again and this time I feel awful. Enjoy it

flamingtoaster · 28/12/2010 17:19

I didn't have any sickness at all with my two - I did go through a phase of nausea at 4.00 pm but eating at 3.00 solved that! Enjoy your lucky escape from the misery others suffer!

thereisalightanditnevergoesout · 28/12/2010 17:21

I was never really sick with any of mine on number 4 currently). Killer heartburn everytime, though.

DilysPrice · 28/12/2010 17:32

You do have a little bit of nausea though, and some other marked symptoms. No symptoms at all would be a slightly bad sign but of course even then loads of women have none and do fine.
According to What To Expect... the (slight) majority of women will not actually throw up even once in their pregnancy.
Ask your mother how she felt in pg - it does tend to run in families, certainly DM and I were similarly unaffected by significant morning sickness.

Wigeon · 28/12/2010 17:37

Not something to worry about in my experience. First pregnancy - no sickness the whole pregancy, didn't even feel sick. Practically no symptoms the first 12 weeks. Didn't feel exhaused, didn't need to wee more often etc. Perfectly healthy pregnancy and baby.

Second (current!) pregnancy - a little nauseous sometimes before 12 weeks but no real other symptoms.

Definitely enjoy it and don't worry!

I'm not puking either and I'm about the same stage you are; the nausea is completely random and never that bad, some days I don't have it at all. I've gone right off hot drinks though.

As dilys has already said, I think I read somewhere that it's only about half of women that actually barf during pregnancy so the odds for just feeling a bit off colour and not actually throwing up seem pretty good. After all, if we were all chucking up all over the place nobody would manage to keep it secret til 12 weeks :)

IfAtFirstUDontSucceed · 28/12/2010 19:34

Thats so good to hear guys - thanks! As it happens Dilys I did mention it to my Mum, who said that she wasnt sick at all when pg with both me & my DB. I guess the first 12 weeks are just so nerve wracking - I need to calm myself down! Grin

I had no symptoms at all when pregnant with DS who is now 2.10. Currently 35 weeks with no2 and more tired but not a hint of sickness all the way through again. Enjoy it while it lasts-there is still time for unpleasant symptoms!

Beamur · 28/12/2010 21:32

I wasn't sick once or even felt nauseous. Was very lucky and felt well throughout my pregnancy - had slight sciatica and sore feet by the end but that's all.

PinkElephantsOnParade · 28/12/2010 21:54

Never had any sickness with either of my two and both very healthy now 11 years later Smile

I never felt ill at all, but with DS I actually had very serious pre eclampsia and was admitted as an emergency at 38 weeks. The hospital staff could not believe that I did not feel at all ill but i really felt fine. That was pretty scary.

spilttheteaagain · 28/12/2010 22:05

I read that 80% of women get nausea and 50% get nausea and vomitting. So 20% have neither. Lucky sods! Enjoy it, it's definitely reassuring that your mum wasn't sicky either.

RockinRobinBird · 28/12/2010 22:07

I've just posted the same on my ante natal thread. I am 7+6 and have had no sickness, no metallic taste, no going off foods. I have been very ill and am still not quite recovered so it may be that the tiredness I'm feeling from being ill and general not wellness is masking it. Was sick as a hound with DD so this added to the amount of medication I have taken is worrying me.

Harimad · 28/12/2010 22:11

Had a wave of mild nausea with DS at 5 weeks, which went before I had a chance to say 'ginger biscuit', and none at all with DD.

I think it's reassuring to get morning sickness just because you then do have something to cling to in these uncertain weeks, but I think I was just v. lucky to not have it at all!

ILoveDolly · 28/12/2010 22:12

No sickness at all, two healthy pregnancies, two healthy babies.

I did get a little nausea, but only when I smelled certain smells, so easy to avoid.

Good luck! x

No sickness, no anything much except sore boobs, and even they wore off about 8 weeks. Am now 24 weeks and (touch wood) all is well.

Also was pregnant once before, had a termination at 10 weeks, and was not at all sick during that one either.
