First pregnancy and worried...

Been taking Clomid for 4 cycles due to PCOS. Took pregnancy test on Christmas Eve and it was positive! Didn't believe it so have done another 3!

Anyway, today had a little brown discharge when went to the loo. Also have been feeling a little like before a period - heavy feeling and twinges in lower abdo area. Should I be worried? Keep reading things on the internet and I'm getting worried there could be all sorts of things wrong. Probably being neurotic, but don't have anyone else to ask!

Thanks in advance for any comments

Hi Beth

Don't panic. It's really common to bleed when you would have had a period for the first few months. But if you have been on Clomid you need to seek advice because you may be carrying twins and obviously that needs close monitoring. I would suggest you call the GP in the morning and ask for a referral to the EPU in the circumstances (Early Pregnancy Unit).

Congratulations btw. :)

Thank you so much. Have no idea what to expect or what to do!

That's normal too. You will be shit scared continually up to and beyond the birth. This is the way things are with babies. It does get easier though :)

I'm sure you know this but don't take any more Clomid and keep up with the folic acid. :)
