Keep reading about all the breast changes that happen in pregnancy. Mine don't seem to be living up to the hype! They are a little tender underneath when I take off my bra, and maybe a tiny bit bigger, but I am 10 weeks and still in my normal bras!

Anyone else, or am I just a medical miracle? Not sure if I should be buying underwire-free bras or not yet. Or if I will be able to make milk.. maybe there are no milk ducts in there????

Mine haven't changed much at 24 weeks - still in original undersides size, still fitting perfectly. They feel a bit fuller/heavier but I wouldn't worry. Just go get yourself measured every 6 weeks or so to check they're still fitting right/if you feel you need to.

Hello, I'm exactly the same! Am 20 weeks and mine have only increased slightly and very gradually and were never very tender. I did feel a bit that I was missing out when i kept reading on here and in all the pregnancy books that bigger/tender boobs were one of the first signs. As mine aren't very big to start with, I felt upset at the beginning, but soon glad as a friend of mine is pregnant too and is in HH bras already.

Want a bit of mine?! Gone from C cup to FF...life does not seem to be dishing this out equally!

GoldFrakkincenseAndMyrrh · 26/12/2010 11:16

Sorry that should be original underWIRED size. Makes it sound like I'm complaining about the size of my boobs, which I'm definitely not. I'm glad they're not getting bigger as I don't see how they could without making me look like Pamela Anderson.

mejon · 26/12/2010 11:38

As far as I can tell mine haven't grown at all (I'm now 36wks) and didn't last time either. They were a little tender early on but are fine now. I'm still wearing my normal bras though I need an extender on a couple of them but the cup sizes are the same. DH is most disappointed Xmas Grin.

falling I was thinking the very same thing this morning, funnily enough.

Am 8+ weeks and had a bit of tenderness so I got a non-wired one - but bugger-all expansion is happening. and I was so hoping to get beyond a B cup. :)

FiveColdRingsForSolo · 26/12/2010 12:06

Mine changed very early on with Ds, but very late with Dd. I think all pg's are different.

With Dd, I went from a 32C to a 34DD (eventually), so don't panic yet!

violetwellies · 26/12/2010 12:12

Id say you were VERY lucky. I dont like big bossoms, they are inconvenient and get in the way.
So normally 32c, now at 18 weeks 34 DD and growing. Bluddi torture and THEY HURT. Not all the time, stops just long enough to lull me into a false sense of security. I HATE them.

Longtinsellyjosie · 26/12/2010 12:20

Mine barely changed - went from 32C to 34C, hardly anything at all. My midwife said "you'll be one of those women who grows at the last minute". And so it turned out - 34E when my milk came in, settled down at 32F Grin

theboobmeister · 26/12/2010 13:03

All the important breast changes in pregnancy are on the inside so don't worry if you don't notice any obvious differences, this is normal and doesn't affect your chances of breastfeeding successfully.

Can't remember when you're supposed to get a pregnancy bra fitted but the nice ladies in John Lewis will advise ...

StiffyByng · 26/12/2010 17:05

Mine haven't changed size but the nipples look a bit bigger. I found my normal bras uncomfortable though - I think my breasts were a bit heavier if nothing else - and have found non-wired maternity bras more comfortable. My midwife has also promised last minute growth and like some here I was disappointed as I've always been rather lacking in the chest area!

CaringForPod · 26/12/2010 17:15

I'm 22 weeks and maybe a tad bigger, but still in the same bra size. No tenderness either. I worry a lot that I don't fit the whole pregnancy 'pattern' - ie boobs normal, bump more fat than anything and not feeling much movement. But people on here are helping to keep me sane, so thank you!

Longtinsellyjosie · 26/12/2010 17:51

yy to what boobmeister said about it not affecting your chances with BF. I really worried about this - without cause and had a really easy time of it.

I think you get your bra fitted at 37/8 weeks? Is that right?

fallingandlaughing · 27/12/2010 10:31

Hmm, very interesting. There was me thinking I was the only one. The books write like it is guaranteed. Will just need to watch out for this last minute surge - am already a DD so not keen to get too much more. I do know someone who went up to a 30G though Confused

Ha ha! Just you wait til your main milk comes in, fallingandlaughing (this happens usually between day 2 and day 5 after baby is born). One of my friends described the phenomenon as "massive porno boobs" Smile

PickleSarnie · 27/12/2010 10:52

My boobs never got much bigger during pregnancy. And even now I'm breast feeding they are pretty much the same. Which I am v thankful for considering I was 34F beforehand. I stayed in underwires the whole time but did go get measured frequently. Non wired ones always gave me a pointy boob look like madonnas in the vogue era. Not a look I've ever aimed for.
