I love being pregnant and feeling the little person who will be such a huge part of the rest of my life wriggling away!

Awww, 2nd is much much better.

beatie · 30/09/2005 12:12

I just had dd2 and had a lousy pregnancy but already I miss those kicks inside of me and feel sad I'll never be pregnant again Perhaps it's just the post-natal happy-hormones

expatinscotland · 30/09/2005 12:12

PARP !

hunkermunker · 30/09/2005 12:22

Beatie, I was wondering how I'd feel about that too - we think we'll stop at two (probably!), so am savouring every nudge and thwack!

I laugh in the face of your parping expat and enid!
HA!
I love being pregnant too, despite the fact that today I can't actually breathe... this time is probably the last and I think it is going way too fast.

dinosaur · 30/09/2005 12:23

D'you know, it's really weird but I still get kind of phantom kicks? I know it's probably just wind...

hunkermunker · 30/09/2005 12:24

I used to get those too, Dinosaur - very strange! Think it's just innards

HSC, hmm - just remembering the feeling of baby bottom wedged under ribs now...!

I said we'd do 2 if this pregnancy was as bad as last, if not 3... now not sure if I want 3, but the pregnancy is good!

ChaCha · 30/09/2005 12:37

Although I moan from time to time I am enjoying being pregnant especially after a very rough 1st trimester (and weeks to follow). Am still being sick now at 32weeks! Feeling baby move is an experience that is just amazing in every way (until limbs get caught in place that have me doubling over, catching breath) and one that I will cherish.
I can't wait to meet this little fellow although time really is flying by.
Harpischordcarrier - How are you by the way?

hunkermunker · 30/09/2005 12:40

I think not knowing the sex of this baby (didn't with DS either, but was convinced he was a boy - this time not sure at all!) has made it more exciting in some ways for me - I know not everyone feels like that and some people want to know and I do understand that too.

But in a few months, DS will have a little brother or sister, I will be mum to two small children - but not sure whether it will be two boys or a boy and a girl. I love the anticipation - it's better than Christmas!

Ooh, more kicks - I love it!

When are you due HM?

hunkermunker · 30/09/2005 12:48

14th January - just hope I have room for my Christmas dinner

I'm fine thanks for asking - apart from v painful SPD, v bad heartburn (can I recommend Gaviscon tablets btw?), very uncomfortable movements, can't sleep... this baby likes to bounce off my pelvic floor, like some mad trampolinist.
And today I finally gave in and put on my mat clothes and >sob< maternity bra/hammock...

triceratops · 30/09/2005 12:50

I love the kicks and wriggles generally but not at this stage. I am 37+ and when she kicks me it tends to hit a vital organ

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 30/09/2005 12:51

wait til you hit 37 weeks - you wont love it so much then!

flamebat · 30/09/2005 12:52

Oooh a month apart

flamebat · 30/09/2005 12:52

Why aren't you asleep??? Hmmmmmmmmm?

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 30/09/2005 12:53

now going flamebat - i promise! Jess woke up because of noisy neighbours but DH has just got back so im off for a sleep!

SherlockLGJ · 30/09/2005 12:53

Good point FlameBat

flamebat · 30/09/2005 12:55

Good girl.

beatie · 30/09/2005 13:01

hunkermunker. I had vile sickness for 9 weeks, horrid backache for the next 12, 4 weeks of blooming and then 11 weeks of mild SPD. I said never again. I hated pushing during my labour and said to myself 'thank god this is the last time I'll do this' but now I find myself sad about that fact.

I'm sure we're stopping at two and on dd1's tantruming days I am beyond certain

Still, I am trying to cherish every little moment of dd2's new life and I will just jump onto the bandwagon of excitement of everyone else's pregnancies.

We too did not know what we were having and found the anticipation sooo much more exciting than last time - even though we did not know that time either.

expatinscotland · 30/09/2005 22:50

Don't say that, beatie! Knowing this is the last time I'll have to be pregnant is what's keeping me going right about now - and I'm just now coming up on 29 weeks.
