19wks, bump uncomfortable all the time

This is dc3 and I'm fairly laidback about the general aches and pains, ligament stuff, all of that.

My bump is huge compared to previous pregnancies but mainly consists of pies and chocolate. Midwife has checked and says the uterus measures about right. She listened to the heartbeat last week because I haven't felt any movement at all (unlike in previous pregnancies where I felt movement at around 18 weeks or before). I've been quite tired and breathless really easily (1 flight of stairs and I can't speak without pausing to just catch my breath). Am blaming lack of sleep and my advancing years Wink

For the last couple of weeks, I sometimes feel incredibly uncomfortable. My bump can feel hard and sore - can this be Braxton Hicks? Not had them so early before. I can't get comfortable at all, in any position.

I'm not sure why I'm posting, I suppose I just want a moan and some sympathy as I'm really finding this hard work. If anyone had any suggestions on the uncomfortable bump, that would be great. Especially if that suggestion was to go on a holiday somewhere quiet where I wouldn't need to lift a finger and could sleep as much as I wanted to for a week Grin

You could be me! Exactly same as you, third child, 19 weeks and starting to feel enormous! If I walk up stairs, I am out of breath, if I carry my 1 year old up, I just want to collapse! Am currently lying on sofa with legs up as I am starting to get that swollen leg already... Am finding it hard already to run round after 2 small boys, goodness knows what I will be like for next 20 weeks (or based on previous experience, 22 weeks!)

No real pearls of wisdom, but wanted you to know you are not alone! Have you had blood checked for anaemia? Good luck! Put feet up over Christmas...

Ooh ps, meant to say that I also feel much less movement than previously, but had 20 week scan and found out I have anterior placenta- basically it is at the front of my tummy so cushions blows from baby! Could be that?

I don't recommend number 4 then!!

I'm 7wks prg with number 4 and have no idea how I'm going to keep it quiet until after 12 wk scan! Everyone must think I've put on weight which I'm a bit Hmm about as lost 2st a while ago.

My tummy muscles are obviously not what they used to be lol.

Thanks for the sympathy! That's what I needed (and a pack of crisps from DH).

Glad I'm not the only one struggling a bit - previous pregnancies were really easy so I wasn't prepared! I know, and we're only halfway thelizard! I wondered about anterior placenta too, scan is next week so I'll know then.

Just in case anyone checks back - had 20 week scan and all is fine with baby. Huge relief.

I do have anterior placenta thelizard (not low-lying) which explains why I haven't been feeling much movement but I could see baby was moving away on screen Grin
