Had a apt today and my blood pressure was 130/49, the midwife said it was nothing to worry about but asked was I feeling dizzy (I wasn't)

Anyone else had this and what could have cause it, my blood pressure I usually about 130/80

Not sure, but mine is usually 120/80 (textbook) but in pregnancy went to 95/65. Not quite as low as yours, but my boss (medic) assured me that it was totally normal.

Someone will be along soon with better info

Low BP is nothing to worry about in preg. Blood vessels dilate to increase blood supply. I have had low BP in both pregs and it has not had any adverse consequences.

Yes, my BP dropped during pregnancy, my Dr daid it's fairly uncommon as there is a greater tendancy for it to rise whilst pg!

Dr said it is nothing to worry about and to carry some juice and snacks in your handbag incase you feel dizzy. I always felt OK though.

at one antenatal check mine was 98/60 and midwife asked if I felt dizzy or lightheaded. I felt fine at the time but I was hungry as hadnt eaten enough that lunch then appt was over dinner time. Back to normal by next check, im usually about 120/65. i was also told it was nothing to worry about.

i had it too. i got dizzy when i stood up, i think its called postural hypotension. i just had to stop for a moment and hold onto something until it passed. you get used to it Smile

Mine is always 95/60, pregnant or not. No one has ever pulled it up as something to worry about. Never had a problem except dizziness when standing up too quickly.

hiya, im not sure how it is when im not pragnant (tho i dont feel much different), but myn was low both times, often felt vdizzy/lightheaded. midwife said theres nothing you can do for low blood pressure and just 2 carry on. in labour with my 1st i then had high blood pressure (suprise suprise)
you'll be fine nothing to worry about!
