Hello

Am due tomorrow and just been to see midwife - thinks baby has turned breech but not sure. Am going for an emergency scan on thursday (nothing before then) and possible ECV clinic thursday pm if I want them to try to turn it?

Midwife says if they can't, will probably have choice of breech delivery or C-section as I 've had a successful vaginal delivery previously (ventouse and retained placenta).

Am just wanting some advice on ECV and breech delivery as faced with all these options and not sure what to do? Confused.

Thanks in advance

I was in this situation a few years ago. Mnet advice was "If you want to try for breech delivery, google Mary Cronk, to educate yourself on the safe method".

My baby turned before ECV, but certainly would have tried that otherwise, and would have fought for breech delivery, which isn't usually "allowed" at my hospital".

I had ECV. Hurt like hell but then I also had bad SPD so that may well have contributed. It worked though and DS stayed the right (or wrong!) way up until he was born 2 weeks later.

If they offer you morphine to have it done seize it with both hands!
