even with 3-4-5 layers on my boobs are really hurting when I'm out in the cold

is it just me? do I need to just layer up more on the norkage area?

God when pregnant my nipples felt like somebody was holding a lighter to them if it was a cold day. Some days I'd have to rub my boobs in public just to stop it getting so bad I'd cry.

I'd totally forgotten that.

MissAnthropy · 20/12/2010 14:06

That didn't help did it? Sorry was having flashbacks.

Bobble hats?

MadreInglese · 20/12/2010 14:22

bobble hats lol Grin

holding onto them is the only thing that seems to work, but if I do that a lot I fear I may get some funny looks!

Try some of those handwarmer things down your bra - best I can come up with Xmas Biscuit

speffles · 20/12/2010 15:01

I had that this morning. When I got to work I rested my cup of tea against them for a bit to sort them out. Good thing I've got the office to myself before Christmas!

ecuse · 20/12/2010 15:03

Yes, mine get really sore. Handwarmers in bra has been a solution when I come home, although haven't yet ventured out in them... might be forced to soon!

discobeaver · 20/12/2010 15:37

I think if you can wear some sort of top that will bind them close to you, like a sports top or something, that would help.

wussbird · 20/12/2010 16:18

Xmas Grin at norks and norkage!

MadreInglese · 20/12/2010 16:43

hand warmers excellent idea, lol!

Will try layered sports bras also, thanks

God yes! I thought it was just me, the rest of my body is on fire most of the time, I dont like having the heating on, have the windows open and often stand by the back door for a blast of freezing cold air.

But when im walking the dog, jeeeeee-sus my nipples ache with cold, they feel like theyve been punched

ellesbelles79 · 21/12/2010 10:19

yes! its so painful!

even walking through the chilled section in Tescos is a complete no-no for me! Its agony!

Only thing I've done is put my breast pads on to add another layer to my nips & then lots of warm tops....

But seriously, it quite often feels like I've been stabbed in the boobs & Im dying! Sad

I FEEL YOUR PAIN!! LOL

FindingAManger · 21/12/2010 10:27

yes I've had that a few days - nipple freeze when walking outside but when the rest of me is actually very toasty. They thaw quite quickly though thankfully

LadyBiscuit · 21/12/2010 10:27

It's agony isn't it? No one bloody told me about it until I mentioned it either Angry

I used to fill a sink with warm water and dip my nipples when I got home which was blissful. I found stuffing a glove inside each bra cup helped a bit (my enorma-cleavage being almost insignificant next to the enorma-bump)

debka · 21/12/2010 13:40

I actually get this when not pg as well. In fact, when pg it's not so bad because my entire body is 10c warmer than everyone else's.

MadreInglese · 22/12/2010 11:56

Well we were out in minus ridiculous temps yesterday mooching round christmas markets, I was padded and strapped up and layered but still ended up walking round holding them Xmas Blush I suppose I just looked like I'd folded my arms in a bit of a strop, lol!

I even considered buying some roast chestnuts and shoving them down my bra as a last resort, but luckily there were plenty of coffee shops I could duck into to keep defrosting!

Yep! It's horrific, and in this weather is SO painful!!!
Even when the rest of me isn't that cold it hurts enough to want to cry and I would be perfectly prepared to get 'em out and dip them in the takeaway coffee cups of passing commuters if I thought I wouldn't get arested /burns.
