I'm interested to know if most people write a birth plan for their second baby?
I'm having no2 in a different hospital to where I had no1 and so they won't have much information about my first labour (which was horrendous) though obviously they have the basic medical details.
I'm also keen that the midwives are aware that i've had multiple miscarriages since my first son and that I may become very anxious or even panicky during labour though i hope i manage to be cool calm and collected [hmm
I'm just not sure how i'm going to cope this time round, with the combination of all the fears brought back by a very difficult first labour and the huge build up we've had to this very special second child.
does anyone have any advice? is there any point writing a note for the midwives to explain this background?
in terms of the actual birth/pain relief etc i am just pretty open minded this time round and will go with the flow (or lack of it.) last time i had a very long pre labour and very long labour - 30hrs+ from start to finish; ending up with several failed ventouse attempts and an episiotomy - though most importantly a healthy son. no epidural, just gas and air and a dose of pethidine.
