Sleepy baby during 12-week scan

Mad worry of the day: just had 12-week scan and baby slept through. Remember the boys leaping about startled by the ultrasound. Anybody else had babies sleep through? Any reassurance gratefully received, this is probably all displacement about borderline nuchal result...

Thank you Enid. Hope you are feeling a wee bit better, bought some chilli crisps today and finding them surprisingly do-able.

Our baby was v.active throughout both the 12 & 20 week scan but SLEPT throughout our 200pound 4D scan at 28 weeks...grrrr!!!! He did not want to be disturbed, we tried everything. (He did move position though - IN HIS SLEEP) HTH

It occurred to me that am probably slightly better padded after two babies than was before so this one may not have felt the vibes so much. It's nice to get a little wave though

I get loads of scans with my pregnancies (just out of luck, bad luck lol!) they both slept through some and were mad in others, I think it just happens when the appt coincides with naptime, doesn't mean a thing

Thanks, you lot are great for quick reassurance. Was just surprised, the others were so jumpy and this one was just lying curled up with its little heart fluttering away. Bells and whistles nuchal scan on monday, sigh, so can now transfer anxiety to that

My dd slept all the way through her 12 week scan. I thought this was normal! until I spoke to friends who said they saw it moving. She moved around enough on her 20 week scan so that allayed the fears a bit. Your dd was probably just having a nap at the time!
