Looking for some advice have had flu for past few days, was suggested could be swine flu but was too wary to take tamiflu as in first trimester so stuck with paracetamol. Last nite went to A&E as feeling worse. checked everything including urine and said traces of blood and protein. The doc diagnosed a Urinary Tract Infrection but i hav had no symptoms what so ever in fact i have been going to the toilet less since finding out i was pregnant not more, and no pain etc. Only thing is sight pain in lower left back which they thought may be kidney pain.

Just wondering if they could b on the wrong track and missing something else? anyone had similar experiences?

possibly, but I had a really bad UTI at around 32 weeks and I didn't really have any UTI symptoms. In fact it was only diagnosed because I couldn't stop being sick and was eventually admitted to hospital and put on an antibiotic drip. Were you given antibiotics? I did feel terrible but not with any UTI symptoms.

Yes i have been sticking to paracetamol for next 24hrs to see if start to feel better before starting them im only 7 weeks and very concerned that something will affect the development of baby. I feel rotten but was putting it down to flu. Thanks for replying perhaps its quite normal to have no symptoms then.
