Correlation between Baby Engaged week and birth?

I'm 34+1 and the midwife told me yesterday that my baby is engaged. Is there any link to suggest I might go into labour before 40 weeks as it is a little earlier than some people get into this position?

What are your experiences of week baby engaged and week of birth?

DD was fixed and engaged at 31 weeks.

She was born at 39+1. So about 8 weeks from now I reckon.

It means nothing.

DS was engaged at 32 weeks and by 40 weeks when I had my first sweep at 40+3 the midwife said he was just sitting ready to come out.... Another 3 days later he finally arrived!!!!

Means nothing I'm afraid they can engage really early and nothing happens.
