Anyone done any of these? Would you recommend the classes? I'm due the end of April so guess we'll need to book in soon-ish, so would be good to have some feedback if possible. Thanks in advance.

PS: At work most of the day, but will appreciate any thoughts even if I can't read them until this evening!

Fab... totally brilliant! I wasn't sure either but she's great. Absolutely the right level of info, chance to chat, ask questions, get to know people etc. I honestly can't recommend highly enough.

If you can afford it I'd say definitely go for it. It was everything I hoped for, and yes, a little bit NCT-y if you know what I mean, but there's absolutely no sense of "epidurals are bad", "you must use real nappies" or anything like that, she's very open and happy to talk about both sides.

Whereas the NHS one (4 hours on a Saturday) I really thought was useless. Too many couples, no chance at all for questions, very low level of detail, and passing round the forceps was a particular low point.

Thanks for that. We're signed up to the freebie NHS one in Botley in March, but looking for a bit more really, this being the first baby. Virgil, here we come!

Oh PS toomuchteaching, do you have an email address for Virgil? I only have a phone number but work funny hours and emailing would be better...Thanks again.

She doesn't use email, it is a bit annoying. Best thing is to phone and leave a message... she does phone you back. We played answer phone table tennis for a few weeks, and I thought I wasn't going to get onto a class, but it was fine in the end. Good luck!

Managed to get hold of her eventually and am all booked in for next March. Thanks for your help though :-)
