I am 12+5 and have had 12 week scan. Just now have noticed brown/pink (not bright red at all) discharge when I wiped, and dry bits of same colour in knickers. I have never had htis in previous pg or this one until now. I will ring MW tomorrow but just to help me get an iota of sleep tonight, anyone able to offer reassurance? thanks x

I had brown light discharge, and a small amount of brown blood, around the same time as you, maybe a little before. I got it checked out and it was all fine. I was told it is fairly common in pregnancy, and that some women have it throughout their pregnancy.

I think around the 11/12 week point you may get 'implantation' bleeding, where the foetus is embedding deeper into the womb. Also I was told that brown colour is old blood so not usually a problem. However I agree that you should ring your mw tomorrow, even if it just turns out to be for reassurance. Take care. x

Thank you very much. I am going to stop googling now, such a bad idea! It is terrifying to feel so powerless isn't it, I've never had any cause to worry in pg before (apart form the usual neurosis that everyone has). Thanks for replying, appreciate it

No problem, I was exactly the same. I have been banned from Google! I still worry most days now and I'm 27+4! x

I had the same thing one day before my 12 week scan and I was so worried, I saw my GP who did an internal exam and he said that I had cervical errosion

I had two more bleeds through the pregnancy but all went well

DD is now a healthy beautiful 9 month old

Try not to worry too much, hope all goes well Smile
