let me get this right, you can get lines on tests that are evaporation lines? that look like pregnant lines?

? so an evaporation line would be alongside the test line? so there would be two lines but it could mean you are NOT pregnant?

yes you can but they tend to show up AFTER the time limit for the test and also tend to be grey-ish in colour. Chuck the test in the bin once your time limit is up and don't be tempted to get it out and keep checking!Having said that, I did a test once that looked negative, saw it in bin later and "evap line" had appeared and that evap line is now 3 year old twins...

Yes, they mostly look greyish though. I have seen a few online that were pink/blue but could have been chemical pg or something. I did actually get a coloured "evap" once on an internet cheapie. I was actually pg that month but it was far too early to have shown up, subsequent tests from the same batch were negative. I suppose it could have been a freaky high hormone moment or a supersensitive test.
