Hi all,
Just needing to vent.
Finally getting rid of the snow and very releaved but read we are due more next thursday. Right when my 18wk consultant appointment is great!.
Already the snow made my 16wk midwife appointment a 17 week one.
I have my 20wk scan on 30th dec.

I know its stupid but this was an ivf baby. More than likely the only one i will ever have and i am worried all the time that something has gone wrong. These checks and tests are the only things keeping me sane and to worry about them being cancelled is driving me mad. I know it doesnt really matter if they are moved but it still plays on my mind ALOT.

Am i being as stupid as everyone is telling me or is there a normal side to this?

xx

It's totally normal to get worried about these things, I've found throughout my pregnancy as soon as I stop worrying about one thing another two worries crop up to take its place Smile.

Remember that longer range weather forecasters are notoriously wrong, the five day forecast nearly always changes as you get closer to day five, the path that any coming snow takes is likely to get swept off course and end up falling in a totally different place.

Also you're seeing different people this time who may not have the same issues getting into work as your midwife did. Also for the scan on the 30th traffic is generally much lighter between christmas and new year so this should also make it easier for people if there is a bit of snow to drive through.

For what it's worth we had loads of snow on Monday and my 20 week scan still went ahead as scheduled (although about 15 minutes late) first thing on Tuesday morning.

I'm sure everything will be able to go ahead as planned, easier said than done but try not to worry too much.
