Hi I'm 26 weeks pregnant and woke this morning feeling unwell. I feel flu-ish, with weak arms and legs and totally exhausted even though I have slept all night. I don't have a cold and have been feeling extra tired the past few days.
Do you think this is anything to be worried about? My next check up is not for another 2 weeks.
I am drinking water and going to take 2 paracetamol. I feel awful and want to spend the day in bed but I can't!

HElP does anyone have any advice?

I've had flu this week - I rang NHS direct who recommended plenty of fluids, regular paracetamol and rest. Also things like steam inhalations for blocked noses and honey and lemon for sore throats.

Look after yourself and hope you feel better soon!

I think you should go to the GP. They will check you over at least.

You might be anaemic, or something - that can make you feel grim.

Do you have a carbon monoxide detector?

Thanks spannerpant and catchthewind. I have had some tea and paracetamol which has helped with the aches but I still feel really tired. I'm going to rest today in case it is just a virus or something, but call and move my antenatal check forward to next week. I did wonder about my iron levels as I've not been eating as well as I usually would (being snowed in for days has meant eating whatever we have in).

I'm now also wondering, I got the flu jab on monday, could possibly a late after effect of getting the vacine? Would be interested to hear if anyone else felt a bit rough after getting the jab.

We dont have a carbon monoxide detector but the rest of the family are fine.
Thanks again x
