Racing Resting Heart Rate

I've been having heart palpitations and the doctor can't understand why - blood pressure fine, urine fine, thyroid fine etc. I've been told to monitor my resting heart rate and it is anywhere between 95 and 120 - even when I'm in bed!

It's making my life miserable as I can't even do simple things without feeling breathless. I'm 33 weeks and normal BMI and was very fit pre-pregnancy. Does anyone else have this? I've cut out all caffeine, i'm off work this week to try and get it down but nothing is working :(

Has anyone else got this? What can I try to get it down?

I've had that in late pg- midwives said it happens. Went away after dd was born.

I am 32+5 I have been having palpitations and feeling really breathless for the last week or so and when I mentioned it at the hospital they did a few checks like blood pressure but didn't seem overly concerned.

I think the only thing you can do is relax (easier said than done Smile) and monitor it like you are doing. Contact your midwife or GP if it gets too bad.

Im 24 weeks and i get this slightly, im not worrying about it tho as it doesnt happen all the time. Mines when im sitting watching tele in the evening for example it will double beat a couple of times and take my breathe away, i sort of concentrate and breathe for a bit then it goes. In my book at this time it says i may get faint spells where a veins being squashed or something so im seeing it as that for now.

Are you dehydrated at all as that can affect things, possibly. Does drinking more fluids help?
