Am due with my first on 2 August 2011, and was wondering if anyone else is out there on the 12-week-wait?

Spending too much time on this website - my OH is giving me a hard look right now, as he suspects that I am on here right now...

This will be my first child. Had a miscarriage last year and have been trying for 13 months for this one. Keeping everything crossed and praying for a healthy pregnancy and baby.

Hi, I'm due 11th August, and this is number 4 for me.

I'm shattered, but dd (4) has chicken pox at the moment so that's not helping.

Just wondering, have any of you spoken to a mid wife at all? Everything seems to have chnaged in my area since I had dd. You have to phone mw on mobile, but she never answers and hasn't returned my message. I'm very unimpressed!!

Hi all,
I'm due August 2nd as well (I think!), First pregnancy, so its all new to me. Mostly tired..I can't quite believe its real yet, not helped by the fact taht hardly anyone knows yet. I have also become a bit obsessed by this site...
I've got midwife appt booked, its not until the 29th though

jspark123 · 09/12/2010 20:44

Hi ladies, I am due August 5th (I think) with my first, not got anything booked yet as I am about to move to new area and not able to register with GP until I get there next week, hope they can arrange things pretty quick. Not many symptoms yet, some bloating mainly! no MS as of yet, and no tiredness, hope everyone is feeling okay

purplekid · 10/12/2010 12:32

bettyboo83 · 13/12/2010 20:42

Hi girls, I found out that I was pregnant yesterday which was a big but lovely surprise. It will be my first so it's very nerve-wracking but it's great to hear other peoples' experiences. I'm due on the 20th August acording to the calculator which is scary as I'm due to get married in December '11! Wish me luck!

AnnieDelores · 13/12/2010 21:04

Hi. I'm due August 8th. Not seen midwife yet as I went through IVF and I'm still being looked after by the clinic. Got my 7 week scan on Monday.

Anyone else put on weight at 6 weeks? None of my jeans (except my baggy boyfriend jeans) fit me! Ludicrous! SAying that I am very....ahem.....windy so it could just be bloating...but if it is, its constant!

daisysair · 13/12/2010 21:33

i'm 6 weeks 5 days pregnant. not sure when i'm due as periods have been between 28 and 37 days. going to see the doc tomorrow. not told anyone other than DH yet which is tough-think we'll tell parents at xmas... just been discussing finding the words to do that without them guessing mid sentence! eeeeeeeek!

daisysair · 13/12/2010 21:34

meant to say no MS yet. bloated feeling but not looking too bloated, sore boooooobs which i keep prodding for reassurance lol.

BrownB · 14/12/2010 03:32

I started the link then ran away... Smile Just on my way back from holiday. Very reassuring to hear that there are others with minimal symptoms. Am irritable (apparently), and have sore boobs - especially when it's cold. Tiny bit of nausea on occasion and really hungry. And a bit tired, but that could also be jet lag. In fact I can explain away all these 'symptoms' with reasonable everyday explanations. Am not sure I'll believe this is actually happening until I see the bean waving at me in the ultrasound. Fingers crossed.

my docs don't do pregnancy tests if home pregnancy test was positive, so Drs appt consisted of me grinning like a loon when telling the doc (first person we've told!!) and getting a referral to MW oh and a congratulations :D

SMulledwineS · 16/12/2010 18:25

Can I join please :) due around 20th August i think. I got 2 positive results this morning but docs always do a blood test to be sure. I get the results tomoro and then need to make an appointment with the 'booking clinic'

This will be my first Grin although I have a step daughter whos 5

transportlady · 19/12/2010 19:13

Hi

I am due either 9th or 11th August, based on either a 28 day or 30 day cyle (not sure which it will be!)

Been ttcing for 9 months which I guess is not a long time but felt forever to me and dh

Feeling very nauseous and crying at everything, not having a good time of it so far Sad

Glitterybits · 19/12/2010 19:34

I'm due August 5th. This is my 3rd pregnancy. DS is 2.5 and, sadly, I miscarried with my last pg. I'm lucky enough to have already had a reassurance scan, as I needed fertility treatment to sort my insides out after what turned out to be a very complicated mc. Mind you, anyone who has miscarried will know that it still feels a bit like tightrope-walking, especially in the first trimester.

Am struggling with ms, fatigue and very sore boobs, so hoping these are all good signs!

Hope everyone is feeling well today. Congrats to you all. X

mynewme · 19/12/2010 20:18

Hi everyone,

I'm feeling a bit wobbly with shock, we found out yesterday I'm pregnant with dc number 2. Ds is nearly 4. He was going to be an only.. we are surprised to say the least! If all goes well will be due 30th Aug, though I'm still expecting AF to turn up any minute despite 3 BFPs, got sore back and sore boobs. Not telling anyone at all just now, so glad I can share here!
Hope all continues to go well with you all x

jspark123 · 19/12/2010 22:42

Hi everyone, been a weeks or so since I last wrote anything, mainly because not much has happened since. I have finally move to Scotland and have registered with a GP, although could only get my initial registering with new GP appointment on x-mas eve, not even with a GP, so god knows when I will eventually be able to see one, will be about 7+3 tomorrow so can't hang around much longer! Symptoms have changed slightly, boobs more sore and mild nausea in evenings, but otherwise lucky.
Hope everyone one is set for Christmas, very snowy here! x

SMulledwineS · 20/12/2010 09:56

Hey me and DP are starting to come out of the 'shocked' phase. Got to get some forms from the docs so the midwife can arrange fir me to see her at about 10 weeks. It's ages away :(

purplekid · 20/12/2010 11:25

hello again:)
i'm feeling pretty nauseas quite often too, don't really remember that the first time around. DS is nearly 5 now... so we have quite a a few years between oh well! I've still not heard from the midwife as yet and am almost 8weeks, i am contacting the clinic today for reassurance they haven't lost my forms!

SMulledwineS · 20/12/2010 11:41

I'm not sure how far on I am, I was late last month and when AF came it was v v light but because I was onthe pill and AF turned up I didn't think to test... So I'm either 9 weeks or 5 weeks.

Ive not been sick yet just feel yuk

Nelly09 · 20/12/2010 12:52

i am 6+4 and transportlady i am exactly the same as you - due date is 9th or 11th dep on cycle and very nauseous and emotional..... poor DH!!! nausea doesn't sound bad but it feels awful, i have it all day every day at the moment :( keep reminding myself it's a sign all is still alive in there ;)

congrats everyone!!!

RugbyWidow7 · 20/12/2010 13:12

Hello everyone - My DH and I found out on Weds we are expecting - yay! I think I'm around 5 week mark, due 24 Aug (I think-ish).

Can't make an app with the MW yet as we're moving counties on Thursday. I'm sure it must be ok to leave this until the NY though, when I'll be around 7 weeks.

Congrats to you all
