When would you have a pregnancy massage?

I have a voucher that my husband bought me for my birthday to spend at Dove Spa. I've checked and they do pregnancy massages but I don't know when would be best to use it. I'm 26 weeks tmw so still have 14 weeks to go.
Has anyone had one and if so at what stage?

I would wait until the last 6 weeks or so when the back really goes, especially if they're specialised pregnancy masseurs, they'll know exactly what to do.

I had a block of 5 booked in for the last couple of weeks - only got to use 2 though as DS was born the day after the second massage. I definitely think it got things going (at 39 weeks though so not in a bad way!). I had a little stool on wheels so I could sit up for the massage, leaning over the couch (sounds hideously uncomfortable but was actually fine - I couldn't have laid on my front for long then even with a hole in the table! )

I had a pg package that included a back and foot massage at 30 ish weeks. The back massage was great (sitting on a stool leaning on a big squishy pillow on the couch) the foot rub was something else though - and not in a good way. I think its safe to say that if next baby is overdue I'll be going for some reflexology!

My Dh got me one for my birthday when expecting DS1, i had it at 37 weeks and it was bliss!!!I would def wait til bit nearer the end so you get absolutely everything out of the experience

I've been getting a massage every month while pregnant and lie on my side with a wonderful arrangement of pillows to keep me stable and comfortable.

Everyday! I've been having one a month since I was 3 months. As long as it's a specialist maternity massage you should be fine

Can anyone suggest a good massage in Central London?

Had one around 23 weeks while on honeymoon. Was amazing. Want to book another (at 32 weeks) but fear I'll get addicted and want to go daily!

I would google Elemis Spas in London and see what comes up. Their mother to be massage is excellent.

Re central london I went to Kate Kahle in Clerkenwell all the way through pregnancy, twice a week towards the end. Helped to stay relaxed during mid pregnancy move. Also she also does a nice smelling, and apparently effective, stretch mark prevention cream.

Haven't tried her postnatal massage yet.

i recommend this lady and she comes to your home and sets up a massage table! Amazing and very well priced too at £60 for an hour and a half. And the best bit... you are at home hence no travelling afterwards!
