Has anyone experienced this or know anyone who has? A friend of mine starting losing amniotic fluid on Saturday - it seems to have stabilised now and the doctors are saying it may go to term, may miscarry, may be able to keep it to 25 weeks or so and then save it in an incubator- she doesn't know what's going on, how it happened or if there is anything she should be doing, and neither of us have ever heard of this happening before. She's off work sick for this week, but they say there's no point behaving like an invalid as no evidence it will help, so she may go back next week. Any advice?

I had leaking at 25 weeks and hospital thought it was amnio. They can give and amnio fluid transplant but I don't know if they would at 21 weks as, unfortunately pregnancy is only medically viable (according to my Hosp) at 24 weeks. The fluid can replace though. Well thats what they told me. I didn't actually have that, it turned out that I was weeing myself. V.dignified.
