My mw said at least 6 months before thinking about trying, if not longer....

I am pretty sure it is 1 year(from section to conception). I had a section for DD2, but did not pay much attention as not planning a third.

I was told a year if possible. We started trying at 9 months and i was pg at 12 months

My SIL had her 3rd c- section August 10th 2009 and had 4th c- section sept 1st 2010, however she was told off by the consultant saying she should have waited a year between pregnancy's .

My consultant told me 9 months.

Sorry, should clarify: 9 months from section to getting pregnant again - i.e. Min 18 month age gap.

i was told not to get pg for a year - that was 18 years ago. They are worried that the scar

I got pregnant 6 months after my c-section,was very worried about scar and baby, but all was fine Smile

Our MW told us 2 years, but we now have a an 18 month year old and a 2 week old born by VBAC!

As one of the sites I read said, uterine rupture with meaningful sequelae is a very tiny risk and should not be a factor in planning one's family structure. On the other hand, two as close together as ours is very tiring...

I had IVF and they didn't have a problem with treatment starting 8months after c-section. I'm now 2 months pg with DC2.
