Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has any experience of travelling with the Bugaboo Cameleon (in the carrycot form that you use at the very beginning so the baby is flat) and going on a Ryanair flight?

They say that you can have a fully collapsable pushchair free of charge but I'm just not sure because the carrycot bit is separate to the base bit with the wheels whether they will accept this as being a fully collapsable pushchair?

Any experiences welcome!

I would try to call them if you can. Ryanair are notorious for extra charges. Easyjet were fine with my carrycot/ pram and babyseat though.
Remember when you check in to tell them it's a two part pram so you get two labels.

I personally would avaoid travelling with Ryanair full stop let alone with small dcs! They are cowboys IMO! Chances are if there is a way they can screw you they will, they are not renowned for exercising their discretion on customer service issues! I would check for sure beforehand. Sorry, didn't mean to be so negative! Rant over! Smile

Happy Girl1, how did it go? I am travelling with my baby in 2 weeks time and also have the same question. I called them and they say I have to pay extra for the carrycot, although I have seen on the net that people were able to take the carrycot free of charge as it is a part of pushchair and you can make it flat. Confused now.

have no idea but wanted to add that it seems mad to have to pay extra.. whats the use in taking a pushchair frame and wheels etc, without a bit for baby to sit or lie in!? lol

I fly with ryanair all the time, they are CRAP. and if they can charge you extra for anything they will.... trust me. I am due with tinws and my partner is irish, needless to say it is the boat for us from now on...

They tried to charge me once as I had hand luggage and then they tried to charge me for a bag with magazines in bought in the AIRPORT !!!

I will also be VERY surprised if you get through to someone helpfull on the phone. They dont pretend to be anything they are not, They are a no frills airline that try to make as much cash as possible from the people who travel with them...good luck. x
