When I stand up, when I walk across a room, when I go upstairs (you get the picture). I really feel it at the top of my bump maybe a bit above my belly button.

Is this normal?? I often feel uncomfortable and for the last 24 hours it's more noticeable. This is DC3 and I didn't have this until 30+ weeks and not nearly as often. Help. Am a bit worried, but couldn't get through to the community midwife team all day. Just answaphone.

Maybe it's just BH? Can this many be a bad sign??

I'm 32 weeks and get this almost constantly. Went on the monitor today and they confirmed it's just braxton hicks but an awful lot of them. I asked if it was normal for them to happen so frequently and they said it was all fine.

Hope that helps x

I'm 20 weeks and also getting this mainly either when I really need the toilet or when I'm lying in bed. I had my 20 week scan this morning and asked the sonographer and the midwife about it they both said braxton hicks and my midwife did suggest that it might be because of a UTI as that can cause the uterus to contract, she also said as long as they weren't in a regular pattern then it wasn't too concerning but if they went into a regular pattern then I would have to go in to be checked out as apparently it could cause full blown labour which I was a bit Shock about.

I've actually been wondering if I may have a UTI for a few days, as I need the toilet all the time and often for not much reason IYKWIM, although as I've never had one I'm not really sure, I may go to the doctors anyway just to put my mind at ease.

Thes are just normal Braxton Hicks AFAIK. I get them ALL THE TIME now, if I do ANYTHING, especially bending over, getting up, going to loo etc. or even just walking, and especially in the cold air outside. They've get more strong and frequent recently (I'm 35 wks) but I was getting them quite early on and noticing them. Sure they're nothing to worry about, but keep trying your MW if you're worried. x

yep sounds like braxtons....i've been gettin them past couple of weeks, i'm nearly 33wks now. feels like a really strong period pain in the lower part of tummy for me....but if u breathe it out they go away in a few seconds. generally i got mine when i was stretchin in bed in the mornin as i was changin position, so just learnt to not fully stretch now, lol.
