Am 6 weeks and have had crippling diarrhoea since yesterday afternoon. I don't think it's anything I've eaten as DH and I have eaten exactly the same food all weekend and he is fine.

Has anyone had this?
Did your bean make it?

Am very worried - no bleeding or uterine cramps as yet, but it can't be good for the bean, can it?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Poor you.

I have had norovirus in pg and baby was fine, plus if you saw the state I was in a year ago with hyperemesis you'd never believe the kid next to me would have been a big bouncing thing, but he was fine. Took me a while to get over it though...

Afaik, kid gets first dibs at everything. Watch out for high high temp or dehydration. Give your mw a phone - even if the pg isn't registered yet, she can help you with advice. Get some Dioralyte, put you feet up.

I had diarrhoea with all 4 of my dc. In fact it was one of my symptoms that made me test with each one. It lasted 3 or 4 days and then went and that was the last of it.
Drink lots of water and have lots of rest. Give you mw a ring too.

I had it bad when i was 8 wks, caught a bug in Egypt it wasn't nice! You will be fine though keep yourself hydrated (Diarolyte sachets are good for that just add them into water and drink)and rest.

Thanks everyone, feeling very sorry for myself!

I had it for about 6 weeks. No sinister cause, just the hormones. Now been replaced by raging constipation!
Keep the fluids up, eat sensibly it will pass (sorry!)

I had it at six weeks, about a week after I'd learned I was pregnant. It lasted 2-3 days I think and I and bean were fine. As others have said, rest, relax and drink water. Congratulations!

Had D&V right around the time of implantation (which I obv only realised in retrospect). Fairly loose for a couple of months and now the opposite and in the same boat as jasmine51 Blush.

Does anyone know if it's OK to take anti diarrhoea OTC medication?

Not sure - always best to ask the pharmacist...not the sales girl, the actual pharmacist.
