What antenatal classes should I choose when expecting twins?

I am 14 weeks pregnant with twins and I am looking in to what antenatal classes to choose. Seen advertisement for Peas in a pod org in Brighton, but not sure if NCT is better as it is more local or are there more options? Help!

I did specific TAMBA ante natal classes when I was preg w my DTs, the TAMBA website has details of all the classes. www.tamba.org.uk

But as they're not always local, you might want to try NCT too for the social aspect. It's good to have a wide support network.

Also check the TAMBA website to see if you have a local twins club, I go to mine regularly and it's brilliant!

My local NHS hosptial does a one-off ante-natal class for those expecting twins, which was really useful, so check if there's one at yours. Also, my local Twins Group, which is brilliant, runs "Expecting Twins" evenings monthly, which are done in someone's house. They're informal evenings, but really useful - people go along to meet other parents/expectant parents of twins, and ask about anything and everything, from births and feeding to which buggy is the best to go for. Check and see if you've got a twins group and then find out what support they offer to expectant parents.

I second finding a local twins group. I found it really useful to talk to people who'd been there and done it! I went to both NCT and NHS groups, which were great for making friends, but (particularly at the NCT lessons) they'd be talking about something, then turn to me and say "Well of course, it'll be different for you with twins..." but not elaborate, which was very frustrating, to say the least!

I was told that the hospital did the twins ante-natal talk, and there were two people from the twins group there to talk about it. We have a website for ours, so maybe just try googling it?? thisis the one I'm a member of, not that it's any use specifically if you're in/near Brighton, but in case you want to see.

For those that did the tamba course how useful would it be to someone with a baby already? Our DS is only 21 months so we're pretty handy with the straightforward baby stuff and need to know about how we manage twins AND a toddler. Is this the course for us?
