Sebaceous cysts on nipples

Anybody had sebaceous cysts on their nipples while pregnant? If so, what did you do?

I had one before I got pregnant and they seem to have multiplied.

They soften when I'm in the bath but can be quite hard and sore sometimes.

Is there anything I can do to clear them up?

And should I see a doctor about them? My midwife hasn't seen them but she says they are probably okay.

Am really keen to breastfeed and don't want the cysts making it difficult as it sounds tough enough already!

Umm, not sure that I can help. I've always had lumps on my nipples that leak a bit of white fluid if I squeeze (sorry if tmi). Is that the same thing?

Mine haven't got worse. I can't see it being a problem for breast feeding (which is fine, don't give up too easily, give yourself time for the milk to come in, baby won't starve in the meantime, get help and advice from NCT, local children's centre etc).

Show your midwife at your next appointment as it is concerning you but I wouldn't worry too much. Just keep them clean I guess and maybe wipe with antibacterial facial cleaner then bath/wash every day. If they are worse now it might be a hormonal thing (my spots are much worse since I've been pg) I'm hoping it'll calm down when the baby is born and my hormone levels change.
