First pregnancy, when did you start getting a bump?

I am 7weeks 4 days and have a slight bump already.....the bigger lumps around it can only be my normal fat lol but I have a little preg mound real low down where I was scanned today. It's only tiny firm bump but it's there!

When did u get yours with your first pregnancy ladies?

First 12 weeks I lost some weight because of morning sickness but I still changed shape quite dramatically. I had a real (little) bump by about 14 weeks although I was quite skinny all over by that time due to all the puking! Started wearing maternity clothes around 15 weeks but just because of the change in shape rather than any additional weight.

I'm 21 weeks and I feel like my bumo has suddenly popped out, although my uterus goes up past my belly button now and I kind of look like I have 2 bumps, a tiny one above my belly button and then a much bigger one below, I just look fat!

Does anyone know at what point the bump smooths into one rounded bump where the belly button area pushes out as well?

i feel exactly like you, il be 8 weks this weekend 4/11/10 and people in my work have stated they think im getting a bump. im naturally a curvy girl with a bit of a belly and suffer from ibs so have always had a sticky out belly which iv hidden by holding it in lol, but ive noticed i cant do that and my tummy is getting very rounded and tender. me boobs are getting sore and im getting lots of spots, dont like that part. xxx

7 weeks here too. I had a v flat stomach pre-pregnancy but by 11wks I couldn't hide it at all. It didn't carry on at that rate. I was big until about 20 weeks and then it stopped for a while and started up again around 30wks at which point I looked the right size for gestation.

I was horrified!

Mummycooper we have the same dates ! your sickness kicked in yet? Mine did last sunday until today but I feel a little more human today.

Am so glad to have found this thread. This is my second pregancy and am 7+5. I am pretty skinny but my mid section is looking so much rounder, and a real pot belly has appeared out of nowwhere. Was worried it was all going to spiral out of control1

JimmyChoo17 and mummycooper - i too am due on the same day - i suffer from Meniere's Disease (a balance disorder) so i'm used to feeling sick all the time and already take medication to suppress it, but it does feel like a different kind of nausea with this :)

Am 18 weeks and no bump. But I have a big tummy (people often thought I was pregnant before) so I think that'll hide anything for ages. I feel sad at the thought I might never have a proper bump.

I showed very very early on. Am normally a size 8 and only 5? tall, so at 10 weeks was clearly getting a bump and a colleague commented, I should pull my tummy in if I didn?t want people to talk! I was in mat trousers by 12 weeks. Overall did end up with a huge belly and put on 3 stone with baby weighing only 6lb6oz. Think the smaller you are, the larger the bump and obviously the quicker you show

2nd time round, started showing even sooner and DD commented at 7 weeks, Mummy Your tummy?s getting big! Dread to think what size I?ll be in 29 weeks!

nearly 18 weeks and look more like an excercise slob who's been munching too much rather than a pregnant woman... no one except DP can tell i am pregnant... i was thin before and have put on 5 pounds thus far...

switched to maternity trousers at about 10 weeks because all the early pregnancy bloating made normal trousers really uncomfortable. That subsided around 16 weeks and started to be replaced by baby tummy. I'm 22 weeks now and definitely showing.. came in this morning and 2 people said 'My god you look REALLY pregnant'. I like it though so that's ok ;) Definitely gets bigger every week at the moment but I think it's normal to go through a growth spurt from about this time as baby suddenly gets a lot bigger

Have been to Debenhams today to buy Maternity bras and new undies - great cos' they had 20% today fsmile

I'm wearing one of those bump bands with my work trousers as I feel so bloated in the afternoon it means I can undo my button! I worry about trousers being tight around womb area...not sure if could cause trouble with womb out of the way at this stage.

i was about 8 weeks when i no longer could put on my uniform at work but it just really looked like i had eaten too many pies. i am now 18 weeks and for the past 6 weeks i have a very pregnant looking tummy and i am loving it and to top it all off i had my first proper baby movement as well....woohoooo

Had the tiniest littlest 'mole hill' bump at 21 week scan but not noticable under clothes. The wide range of replies here just show how different everyone is!

I was 13 weeks when I started wearing maternity clothes with my first dc.

I am very petite though, short with small frame, and lost a lot of weight with hyperemesis. So there was nowhere for the bump to go, dd also turned out to be a large baby. My bump was HUGE by the end!

Am now pregnant with dc2, and started showing the same time as with dd.

with my 1st i started showing really early i blamed it on been quite thin, however it was really big till been 27 weeks and then by the time i was 42 weeks it was so small hadnt grown at all seemed to have shrunk.
im currently 21 weeks with my 2nd and havent got a bump yet, im still in size 8 jeans and theres plenty of room still in them
