amnio tomorrow...bit nervous

got an amnio tomorrow after a 1 in 68 risk of Downs due to high HcG and low PAPP-A on my triple screening. Bit nervous about it all and the aftermath. Soothing words anyone?

Hi, I have had 3 amnios (although for a genetic disorder).

Of course you are going to be nervous, it is only natural. It is uncomfortable, but the staff did their best to take my mind off of what was actually happening. The procedure didn't take very long and wasn't as bad as I had expected. I rested completely for 24 hours after mine as advised.

I found waiting for the results to be a lot harder and did a lot of things to make the time pass more quickly.
