.....my fecking knickers rolling down to underneath my bump and feeling really uncomfortable.

They are granny pants full briefs from M & S, thought that would solve the problem.

I cannot wear the under bump shorts type underwear as they cut into my lovely lower bump flab.

Please tell me I'm not a weirdo and the rolling thing happens to other pregnant ladies.

The joys. I bought some bikini briefs from primark (bargain 2.50 for 4). they sit perfectly under my bump and are v comfy.

Rocklover · 26/11/2010 13:45

Oooh Sh77 I am so Envy, I am too wobbly for under bump briefs.

Yes I get this, and sometimes they threaten to drag my trousers with them! Shock

I have some bikini ones as well which seem to do the job. The worst offenders for rolling down are my expensive Sloggis which I hoped would have more staying power!

goodlifemummy · 26/11/2010 13:50

I can't wear my underbumps any more, they are too tight as bump is trying to reach my knees! I have big ole granny pants which roll, but are at least more comfy. Horribly unattractive though!!

mejon · 26/11/2010 15:55

Are they 'proper' granny pants? I only ask because I have some M&S midi ones that are usually ok but are now doing the rolling down thing too but recently got a pack of full briefs in cotton & lycra mix that come up way over my belly button and stay put all day. They are a size 20 though Blush so that might be a factor! Dead comfy though Grin.

geekygiraffe · 26/11/2010 16:05

bikini briefs all the way. am 30 weeks and still in my pre-preggers ones. Can't see them anymore though!!

Violet5 · 26/11/2010 16:15

Haha, same problem here, and i'm also sick of my jumpers ridding up and my leggings rolling down, i feel like i'm constantly loosing my clothes, it is sooo annoying. That said i haven't been able to wear my maternity jeans for past 8 weeks now, can't stand the tightness around or under my bump (which is why i've resorted to leggings). I must be an odd shape this time as all the maternity jeans i've tried are to tight in some places and to baggy in others, it's been very frustrating.

Rocklover · 26/11/2010 16:21

I HATE maternity clothes Violet, I don't fit anything with my weird high bump with flab underneath.

I have had to buy huge over the bump maternity jeans (and even then the only ones that fit were from New Look albeit in a size 14). Most shops seem to cater for the ladies with neat bumps and slim hips, I was already a size 16 before I started!

My knickers are M & S full briefs, but a size 16, maybe I need to buy them a few sizees too big to get rid of the roll.

I've tried all sorts of measures too Smile
As i'm almost 38 weeks now i've given up totally and i'm going around looking pretty, well, tatty really. I've been rotating 5 pairs of leggings and 4 long jumpers for the past 6 weeks or so now, i am sick of the sight of them and feel like burning them once i've given birth. As for coats, i've borrowed one of someone thats large enough to cover my bump as it's freezing but i look so huge in it i look like i'm wearing a yurt, i just look like a little head popping out of a tent Shock.
I have put a bit of money aside though for a few weeks after the birth when i'm going to treat myself to some normal jeans and a couple of nice tops. Well thats the plan anyway Smile

ledkr · 26/11/2010 16:56

Violet,i am the same with mat jeans, the bit where they start to be jeans from the soft panel kills my section scar and irritates my spd.
As for knickers, primark grannies size 20-22 are the way forward.no roll.I hate the way they take up a whole rung on my clothes airer when i used to be able to get three pre preg sizes on.
The other thing is the styles. Most women who have babies are relatively young-and im an oldie-so why make mat clothes in styles more suited to 70 yr olds?Leggings are looking less and less apealing as my legs continue to widen.

ledkr · 26/11/2010 16:57

i bought a big parka from primani. It green,i look like a fat mod.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 26/11/2010 17:01

I can't wear mat jeans either due to that stupid tight bit that digs in but doesn't actually hold the bloody things up.

I have decided that leggings + boots + dresses and tunics are all I'm going to try and wear from now on. Everything else is too uncomfortable and difficult.

Violet5 · 26/11/2010 17:04

Sorry i just laughed at that ledkr at least i'm not alone in having found it hard to find clothes to suit or fit right.
I have quite little legs and when i'm not wearing a huge coat that makes me look like my heads popping out of a tent, the rest of the time i feel like an orange balancing on 2 cocktail sticks as my legs have stayed pretty slim (well form the knees down) and above i am just a giant sphere shape.
I'm just counting down the days til baby arrives now and i can slowly get back to normal (i hope).

ledkr · 26/11/2010 17:11

I hate it when i go to ante natal and those skinny birds are there in their little under bump skinny jeans with a small bump and no other signes of change to their bodies,i usually have a nice figure but this pg has made my arse like a blancmange and my legs like hulk hogans. My arms chest back and head are still thin so i look like a big pear. I have only gained 1.5 stones and am 30 wks dont know i ill put loads on before the end tho.I eat a lot but i think my body is still in shock due to lack of wine so that has balanced out my weight gain.

Violet5 · 26/11/2010 17:38

I miss wine, allow myself a glass a week at the mo topped up with soda but its not quite the same.

ledkr · 26/11/2010 17:47

I was having "the odd glass" as thought id have afew baileys for sure at xmas, but on my birthday i had a largeish glass of rose(shame on me)and she seemed to go quiet for a day or two so am now completely paranoid. I do enjoy a bit of a drink and so far in this pg i have missed the folowing drinking opps-world cup, holiday in spain.my birthday,dh birthday and now xmas and new year grrrr, and then i will be too tired or paranoid to drink when baby comes anyway.Damn.

LisMcA · 26/11/2010 18:41

I have a guilty secret Blush

I wear my husbands boxers!

I find his Thomas Nash ones the most comforatable. They don't roll down and are quite supportive.

I've actually bought myself some and stiched my initial in the waistband in pink thread!

I may be coverted for life :o
