Mine disappeared but has come back! (Am pleased to have my symptoms back)

I have mine from mid morning to evening! I havent been sick yet but it reminds me of that hungover feeling where you are not sure if you are a bout to chuck or not and your sickness feeling seems to sit at the back of your throat?! I had a couple of real close gagging moments today!

I also feel like I am hungry with it (even if I have eaten, have no appetite or feel really full!?)

Whats yours like - and when it finally comes to being sick is it like when you are hungover and dont feel really ill with it (just sorry for self) or when you have food poisoning and feel rotten!

Literally a "sick subject" but was wondering if everyone feels the same with morning sickness?

I just vomit.

I feel starving but most things turn my stomach and what I do mange to eat comes back up.

My first 3 pregnancies were like this till near the end but this pregnancy it stopped about 10 week!

am nearly 17 weeks now and am amazed as I don't even feel that pregnant!

OnceandFutureQueen · 25/11/2010 20:22

Hospitalised due to dehydration as I couldnt even keep water down. Says it all really!

Dylthan · 25/11/2010 20:34

I was sick the whole way through and could keep nothing down so had to take tablets just to be able to keep fluids and some food down.

It felt like sea sickness for me just a constant nausea. Even vomiting couldn't ease it in the slightest.

With ordinary sickness you vomit feel better and then the next bout hits you. But this was just relentless nausea.

Hulababy · 25/11/2010 20:38

I started being sick at 4 weeks (before I tested) and stopped around 4.5 months. Luckily it didn't return. I was sick 4 or 5 times a day, sometimes more at its worst. And I felt nauseous the rest of the time, from morning til night. Yes, did feel hungry but couldn't actually face much - I lost weight in those initital weeks. I used to have to leave my classroom to be sick - fortunately it was secondary.

JimmyChoo17 · 25/11/2010 20:39

Im only 6 weeks 5 days - I have this to look forward to! Mind you I feel conforted that I feel ill as means my little bean is still fighting in there (i hope!)

Did your sickness start off milder or were you like that from the start ladies?

I ended up with a week signed off work as the sickness left me feeling very dizzy at one point.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 25/11/2010 20:47

All day every day. I puked at everything and anything.
Always a bright side though - no pregnancy weight Grin . And still a healthy 8lb 7oz baby!

violetwellies · 25/11/2010 20:48

Car sick, that awful I want to die, just let me walk home car sickness. Then it stopped (12 + week).
Now I have acid reflux, and the most God Awful indigestion instead.

Dylthan · 25/11/2010 20:50

I didn't feel anything for the first 5-6 weeks and I remember being so scared wishing that I would feel somthing just so I could know my baby was alright.

Boy did I regret that wish!

RhinestoneCowgirl · 25/11/2010 20:53

I never actually vomitted with either pg, just waves of nausea like sea sickness. Accompanied by ravenous hunger. It was stronger second time and lasted longer.

JimmyChoo17 · 25/11/2010 21:02

Dylthan - how far gone are you now? I wonder if I'll be thinking that!

I just want a healthy happy pregnancy! Tuesday is my next progress scan i'll be 7 weeks 3 days x

I felt constantly awful. I would be sick but still feel awful. I was signed off work too. I would take dd1 to school then spend all day curled up with a sick bowl. Even now things associated with that time make me feel nauseous (including the theme tunes to many children's tv shows...I can cook...I can puke...

Dylthan · 25/11/2010 21:11

Sorry should of said I now have a healthy 17 week old dd snoring in her cot beside me at the moment.

The pg was awful but it was worth all the suffering.

Good luck with your pg jimmyChoo and hopefully you won't feel like me and will bloom and look lovely throughout your pg and not feel at all sick and wretched. And then when you are holding your baby and having your first pictures taken you will have a lovely serene and proud look on your face as if to say look what I have acheived.

This will be in contrast to my manic look of thank god that is all over. Grin

JimmyChoo17 · 25/11/2010 21:18

I was the same as you. Felt queasy all the time - hit a peak at around 3pm. Had to graze all the time, was worse if I had an empty stomach, and I had to eat breakfast as soon as I woke up or I would feel sick all day. Actually vomited only a handful of times, and usually it was bad smells that tipped me over the edge! While I was staying at my mum's for a while, my younger brother went fishing for mackerel, then brought them home, gutted and cook them in the kitchen and left blood and entrails everywhere and filled the house with fishy smell. That did it! Oh and once going into the bathroom after him... in fact it was just my brother that made me sick!

Beveridge · 26/11/2010 13:39

It's just like a hangover that won't go away.

The cruel irony...

Teasie · 26/11/2010 23:50

Like the day after a heavy night of unwise drink mixing- you know the night when you don't eat enough, have some wine, beer, cocktails and spirits....morning sickness was just like that for me...wishing I could vomit but couldn't. Absolute vileness and thankfully it's eased off Grin

cupcakebakerer · 27/11/2010 08:50

I am actually surprised to hear these accounts! I had a aversion to certain foods and have thought that was morning sickness.

JimmyChoo17 · 28/11/2010 13:31

I hAve had an aversion to food chicken mainly! Was feeling sickly on and off and today the sickness started today! I am really worried about work and how ill cope. I don't want to tell work yet either. Nothing has helped ease is other than being si k and laying down all day!???

StealthPolarBear · 28/11/2010 13:33

Mine was like really bad travel sickness

3littlefrogs · 28/11/2010 13:39

Crippling nausea 24/7 for 9 months. Got gradually worse all day till by 3pm I would be in tears and feeling wretched. Vomiting all night most nights.

The worst thing is people telling you to pull yourself together as it's "only morning sickness" or proclaiming loudly that "I was never sick" (MIL).

frikonastick · 28/11/2010 13:46

i was still throwing up on the operating table..........

'morning' sickness my arse.
