Had a searing pain, then not feel pregnant any more? and if so did you then find out everything was okay or end up having a m/c?

I'm very scared as had a m/c last year and think it may be happening all over again.

I've spoken to m/w who said that I couldn't have a scan because I wasn't bleeding and don't do scans for reasurance. So the only thing I could do was wait and see what happens.

I know if soemthing has happened I can't stop it, its just the agonising wait...

Any replies will be gratley appreciated xx

Cyberjules i am very sorry to hear that you cant even be given an early scan despite the fact you have told them you had searing pain etc. Do you have an early pregnancy unit within your local hospital ? Maybe worth ringing them up and asking them if you could get an appointment with them and explain the dissapearance of your pregnancy symptoms etc.

I hope everything goes ok for you. I have had lots of cramps and twinges in my last pregnancy and with this pregnancy (i am 8 weeks), i had to get 2 early scan this time round as i had some brown bleeding at 4 weeks, they found a heartbeat at 6 weeks so have to wait on my normal 12 week scan now and am so worried but trying to take my mind off it, easier said that done though !!

let me know how you get on !! xx

Hi cyber
Sorry you are so worried. I certainly had all sorts of pains early on, including things that felt like pulled muscles even though I wasnt moving at the time. I cant say for sure what your pain means but my experience of mcs is that they generally start with bleeding and not with pain, the pain came alot later. So, if you are not bleeding then its a good sign

Really sorry to hear that, hope it's nothing serious. You could try heading to an early pregnancy unit.

Good luck x

Hi cyberjules
With my last pg, I had a searing pain at about 8 weeks. Went to see my gp as was very concerned and she said it was probably a cyst bursting in my uterus.
Not sure of the medical jargon but basically my body may have released a further egg the next month and this got held onto when there was no period as already pregnant. This was that breaking down or something.
GP was very reassuring and explained that unless there is bleeding, its unlikely to be a miscarriage. A MMC does not give any pain.
I went on to have a healthy PG.
HTH, good luck!

If you're worried, you can go to A&E/the walk-in. A nice friendly junior doctor may off you a scan the mw wouldn't! Smile a lot and look as stressed as you feel.

Really hoping everything is OK for you...

Thanks every one for your replies!

mumtopea its noce to here your story has given me a little hope!

I will see how it goes tonight and maybe go to A&E or walk in as suggested thanks for the link Riddsy.

A good thing, I've started to feel a little nausous again, so I'm seeing that as a good thing! although I still don't feel right, the pregnancy 'feeling' I had a few days ago still hasn't returned :(

xx
