Hi all,

i am going to see my consultant, i think its to discuss what birth i want, i am 24 wks with dc3, first birth was induced, second birth emergency c section, i am petrified about both, however i tore the first time and it hurt like hell.

Wish I had advice. I was induced in first, lost 2 litres of blood, episiotomy, ventouse, dramatic drop in baby's heart beat. It was hellish. I am opting for a CS this time.

I think after one CS they encourage another CS as there is a risk of scar opening up, however, there are plenty of women who have natural births.

Do you know what your preference is this time?

Sorry it took so long to reply, thanks for your response

i was thinking of another c section the only thing that puts me off is the recovery time

they obviously want me to have a normal birth as she kept saying it

which doesnt help as i know there are pros and cons for both.

i am still undecided

I read on here that apparently a c section is safer for the baby and a vbac is safer for the mother so i am definitely having a c section this time round (emcs first time).
