yeah I had bleeding in all 3 of my pregnancies!

apparently it's very common and is often just a bit of blood leftover from implantation that has finally found its way out

if it was only a tiny spot and you have no other symptoms then i would try and relax and look forward to your scan!

Ahhh; Thankyou.
i have just been worrying as this is my first, and noone i know has had it before, therefore i thought there was something wrong.

Sounds fine to me. If you were losing the baby then you would have more bleeding and also pain.

Bleeding is so common. Especially mild bleeding.

Good luck!!

I bled at 8 weeks and my sister bled at 12 weeks. She has a 10 month old VERY healthy baby boy and I am 30 weeks pregnant, so I would say not to worry too much.

Just keep an eye out for any more bleeding and call your dr if it happens again.

I was you at the begining of Oct. 4 days before my 12 week scan i had one spot.
Even though midwife said it could happen i worried sick.
I then found out you can spot at 4 8 and 12 weeks ish due to your body thinking its having a period still.

Anyways my baby was alive and kicking on my scan.
Just wish someone had told me its normal before making myself ill with worry.
xx

Waiting for that 12 week scan is always such a worry.

I bled the week after my 12 week scan and I remember being terrified that I was going to lose the baby. I had spots of blood on the tissue and some blood in the toilet.

As it turned out it was just the cells of the cervix being slightly irritated and causing the bleed which is apparently very common.

I now have a perfectly healthy 4 month old DD.

I had it earlier with this one, and they said there was an area of bleeding in the womb but its common and most don't even notice. Apparantly the inside is like the inside of your nose, very sensitive tissue.

I also bled quite heavily with one of my older boys and my youngest and they arrived safely :)

It is scary but try not to worry too much x

Snap Loubilouu!

After 11 weeks of feeling well and having every sympathy with the people who were having problems, I am waiting to get a time and date for my 12 week scan next week and have had some bleeding (well at the risk of giving you all far tmi, its more a bit of brown gunk really Blush). It is only a tiny bit and I am trying really hard not to be paranoid about the fact that I am also having a bit of backache as well. I spoke to the midwife and she said (just as I expected) that it was probably nothing to worry about and as the scan will be next week the best thing is to wait and see.

Reading other mums and mums-to-be comments on mumsnet helps a lot and it is reassuring just to know that other people are going through the same thing :)

Another one who had a small bit of bleeding (just one wipe I think) about 10 weeks. Nothing since, and had 20 week scan yesterday and lovely healthy baby kicking away in there :)

It was only a small bit and was around the time my period would have been due so could have been a bit of breakthrough bleeding or just 'one of those things;

Did cause a lot of panic from me though!
Congratulations on your pregnancy OP :)
