ctg TOC reading - contractions?

/hi

just wondered if anyone knew anything about interpreting CTG readings? I was monitored for about 90 mins on Wednesday (baby reduced movement) during this time I experienced quite a lot of tightenings and discomfort and a couple of what I thought were contractions as they were stronger than anything else I had felt.

on the outout the readings show most of the peaks around 60 with several at 80 ish and about 3 at over 100.

are these likely to have been just braxton hicks or possibly early labour? nothing was explained to me althought the midwife did note that something was being registered.

TIA x

I'm 35 weeks now with 4th baby and have had lots of ctgs with them all. I get very strong BH's from early on and have had similar readings during this and other pregnancies. Most of mine were reading quite high but it doesn't mean labour. I was getting them every 5 minutes at one point too but it was just BH's.

Most women in the 3rd trimester will record tightenings on a ctg the number it goes up to is not important. It's normal uterine activity not labour.
