I've put on far too much weight in my first trimester - nearly 14lbs. Some of that is water weight, etc., but it's also down to eating rubbish food - to be fair, I felt and still feel pretty nauseous, so was just eating what I could stomach.
I didn't put on a single pound during my last pregnancy (was overweight), and still delivered a 4 kilo baby, so am worried about this one being even bigger.
Has anyone followed the GD diet? I was thinking of asking my midwife, (if I ever get a booking in appointment) if I should do this premeptively - it's just healthy eating plus lower carbs from what I can see?
