Is it normal to have bad dreams?

I'm only 4+ weeks but I'm having dreams that I find out my pregnacy failed:(

I am still waiting for my first appt with Midwife (when should it be??). My symptoms are increasing but still no sickness.

Am I being silly by worrying? How will I know if something's wrong?

Although it doesn't sound like it, I'm actually really excited about it and want to shout it from the rooftops!

Most likely hormone related unless you are psychic.

I think sickness generally starts around 6 weeks.

You will know if something is wrong at the scan. If you get bleeding go see your doc. Cramps at this stage are very normal and so don't worry about that unless there is bleeding. Bleeding can also be normal.

I didn't allow myself to get excited until after the 12 week scan as miscarriages in first tri are pretty common.

Thanks sh77. There's been no bleeding so I'm keeping a lid on my paranoia!

I just want my first scan so I can start to feel convinced it's all real!

Don't worry - I think heightened emotional vivid dreams are normal in pregnancy. I've had them each time (now pregnant with DC3). With DC2, I kept having panicky dreams that I had lost or misplaced DC1 - anxiety dreams I guess. You are probably just anxious, and your dreams are playing it out - one of the things they're for. Good luck with pregnancy!
