Ugh. Sick sick sick, and DD (16 months) isn't helping. Any tips?

i found constantly nibbling on those chewy cerial bars really helped.
getting hungry made it worse.

Yes, I think food is the answer. Marmite on toast really helped just then - thanks. :)

dont get hungry! lol seriously normal i get hungry then you start to feel sick but i've noticed in pregnancy i just feel sick and have to eat to make it go away (even though sometimes its the last thing i want to do)

angelbabe1982 · 15/11/2010 13:34

don't be hungry and cbeebies is a godsend! :)

Twit · 15/11/2010 13:36

just adding to the eat eat eat advice. And try to get outside a bit, I know it sounds like the last thing you want to do but I find a routine involving going for a walk {school run} really helps me.

Agree on cBeebies. I find that doing things that distracts me but at the same time interests me, helps a lot (e.g. I like baking). Then once I'm distracted and feel less sick, I'm able to eat a little and therefore feel less sick.

I've been feeling really sick. DC are 4 and 2. I agree with twit - getting out for some fresh air does help, as does eating something quite plain. And my favourite (although obv not the healthiest of things) is a bottle of something sugary and sweet, dr.pepper, lucozade, coke etc, these really help :-) if all else fails I shut all three of us in the lounge, put the t.v on and snooze on the sofa.

Right! Thanks all, just spent £70 (!!!) in Waitrose on snacks. That should keep me going for a day or two!
