My doc recommended taking galfer (I'm 21 weeks and get very tired sometimes + I'm vegetarian) so I went in today and asked for pregnancy galfer but when I came home it was the normal galfer I was given, is it ok for me to take it and what is the difference between the pregnancy and the normal galfer?

I've never heard of them called galfer just googled and it is ferrous fumerate am i right? or is there another ingredient? If they are just ferrous fumerate then perfectly safe to take, in fact I don't understand why there would be a seperate pregnancy version?
I am on ferrous fumerate (which is basically iron) for anaemia I take 210mg 3x a day. I have taken them since the 1st trimester
what is the dosage in what you have.

Ahhh, was wondering why there was no response, I live in Ireland and the most common iron supplement is called galfer, there is a normal version and a pregnancy version that I think just has folic acid added. The one I have has 371mg of iron equivalent to 100mg of elemental iron.
