I'm wanting to compare the guidelines at my local co-located MLU with others in the country. Has anybody got one near them? Lots seen to have sadly closed recently.
Thanks in advance.

I've got one near me but not really sure what you're asking...

There's one near me in Homerton, what do you need to know about it?

I am planning on going to the midwife led birthing centre at Lewisham Hospital in London. Don't know much about their official guidelines per se but have been to visit unit and it seems lovely. Is there anything particular you are wanting to find out? I do know a little about how they work ie they have water birth and you can be given gas and air and/or pethidine during labour. It's also generally a 6 hour stay only post delivery. Any complications and you are transferred to the delivery ward in the main hospital.

The Royal Berkshire Hospital has a lot of info online - check their website. Marsh Ward is the MLU within the hospital.

Stepping Hill hospital in Stockport has one. Sounds similar to Lewisham hosp. Low risk, gas and air, pethidine, birth pool. Any complications you are transferred to delivery unit (2 floors below). Can stay over night but can be out after 3 hours if you really want. It has a good website.

Just after the names of the units so I can contact them personally. It's a bit difficult to get a list from the internet as unfortunately the service provision changes month to month, with MLUs being the first to close............
Thanks to those who have provided names already x
