How do I know if I'm in early labour or have a UTI?

I am 39+3 and feel really uncomfortable today. I have had a period-type pain most of the day that won't shift and I just feel a bit sore and bruised. Parts of my bump feel really tender too.

How do I know it's not a UTI though? I do feel a bit like the baby is pressing on something (bladder?) and just a bit tired and crap.

Do I just sit it out and it will become obvious which one it is or should I get to the doctors?

Hi when I was pregnant with my first DS I was like this for 4days and kept getting told it was a UTI but turned out I was in slow labour. I seen 6doctors and about 4midwifes but because it was my first I didn't push what I felt and just believed them. As they say you know your own body better then anyway so go with what you think. Get checked but keep a eye on pains and niggles.
Good luck

Xx

Thank you, I'm not sure I know what is going on! I have booked in to the doctor today so might get some answers.

Yes go to the doctor, if it's a UTI it should be easy enough to diagnose and treat.
