Don't you find those women that have 'wonderful' pregnancies a bit irritating. I am pregnant with my Second and not looking forward to it one bit. My first wasn't horrific but it wasn't a walk in the park that some mums to be lead you to beleive. A friend of mine believes the whole thing is a breeze and that bad pregnancies are a result of a negative attitude towards being pregnant. She says that you just have to pretend you are not pregnant and it will be fine. She came over last night, perfectly made up in a lovely outfit. I was in my normal evening relax wear - no make up and feeling every bit unglamorous. (NOte I had spent the previous night and day with my currently very grumpy 7mnth DS) Is it only me that finds this all irritating?

Well I had a unbreezy first pregnancy and a pretty nasty childbirth and now am preg with number 2 - un planned. Not particularly looking forward to it but will be glad when I have another little soul in my arms.

Glad to hear I am not the only one who finds my friend irritating. DH just keeps saying she will have it coming but knowing the way she is - she would never admit if anything was upsetting. I think unless she admits her world might be just short of perfect then she is likely to have problems later. PND?? I suggested she made sure she went to Antenatal and Postnatal groups in order to meet other women. She wasn't keen, but I found friends like these the only ones who you can really share the horrible stuff with.

The only thing that keeps me going w/this pregnancy is knowing it will be the last. DH volunteered to get the snip after this one, as he is the one who stays home during the day w/them! That fixed his wagon pretty quickly.
