Grobags and hammocks - a good combo?

DD2 is due in January and we will be using our Amby Hammock again. DD1 was a June baby so while she was little a celular blanket was enough but newbie will need to be warmer.

We used Growbags from 8 months with DD1 when she moved to a cot and I would happily use them again, but would need to get the first size. Do they work OK in a hammock? I have visions of them spilling over the end and tipping the hammock to a funny angle.

It is highly unlikely that DD2 will be tidgy, I'm thinking a good 8 1/2 pounder from the very start.

yes I used a sleeping bag from birth with the hammock. Not a growbag but a merino wool & cotton sleeping bag. It worked perfectly esp when combined with the long nighties in the night (instead of the leggy suits with all the domes). Baby go from bed to boob, to nappy to bed etc with the minimal of fuss/movement.

The one I used here you can fold up & under baby's arms when they are really wee.
