Hi,

Anyone got any ideas for nursery bedding / accessories (either pink/blue) that isn't from Mamas and Papas / Mothercare? I love some of the stuff in M&P and Mothercare but all my friends already have it so just thinking maybe just something a little bit different.. think we will need lampshade, curtains, rug, bedding, pictures etc

any tips very much welcomed!

DD's was from John Lewis,
Or you could try Boots.
Or Jojo Maman Bebe, bit more expensive but some really attractive designs.

I too have been looking for somehting a bit different. Struugling to find anything that's not pink or blue covered in teddy bears etc.

I've found ebay quite good for international suppliers. Haven't settled on anything yet and just think I mihgt settle for the Claire de lune white waffle set except I'd prefer something that has a better quality cotton.
The little white company do a few nice things.

I've been reading that babies under 12 months shouldn't have duvets so thinking I may just give the whole coordinated bedding thing a miss if bubs is to sleep in a sleep suit anyway.

Let me know how you get on.

love love love the stuff from dwell but it is all $$$ so depends on your budget (mine only fits browse-it-and-weep)

Dwell do baby stuff? I couldn't see it. Could you link?

sarahscot · 07/11/2010 19:14

Try here - loads of nice bumpers: www.preciouslittleone.com/search-results/

Is Claire de lune not great quality then? I saw some of there stuff looked nice online.

I liked IKEA as a little different and the next stuff is nice but a little blue or pink if that makes sense. I have got the babies r us catalogue in a mag this week and that looks nice if very similar to mothercare ranges.

www.dwellstudio.com/ sorry just realised it only ships to US - maybe you´ll have someone you could ship it to that could send it on?? a google search does show some uk suppliers stock bits and bobs like baby concierge

Thanks sarahscot. I have been moaning about getting baby things in France and Vertbaudet looks much better than the other baby shop I looked in, and there are three shops near me. :)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Dwell stuff, but HOW expensive!!!!???? I have a friend in Texas though, perhaps I could just buy something little and get it shipped to her . . .
