I had a scan on tuesday at 9+3 which showed a heartbeat and a wriggly bean so this should have made me feel better! However I had a mmc in july, discovered at 10wks after a positive scan at 8 wks, and am now slightly paranoid. My boobs aren't as sore, my queasiness is reduced, my appetite is back for things I had gone off completely and I don't feel as tired as I did.

Please tell me I'm being paranoid, get a life and get over it :)

hi knackered.

i felt the same recently after 3 pregnancies where i was vommiting till 30+ weeks I was very panicked when my sickness stopped at 10 weeks.

I was convinced something was wrong, my SPD eased up and I wasn't very tired.

I posted about it loads on here and was really worried. then i couldn't find a heartbeat on my doppler (stupid thing)

I had a scan today and beanie was flipping about like a fish happy as anything!

so it can happen and all be well.

if you need reassurance call your midwives they may be able to halp put your mind at ease :)

Thanks TotorosOcarina - glad your scan went well today :) Funny the more you have the easier it doesn't get not to worry (this is my 4th pregnancy and have 2 dc's)!

I also have a doppler and have decided to leave it well alone for the moment as I know the chances of catching the heartbeat are really slim this early.

Roll on the next 2 weeks :)

I think my placenta may be at the front as i can get that on the doppler but not the HB, but its obviously there.

I've gound myself worrying more this time than ever before!

I hope it all goes well for you, try to relax, i know thats easier said than done!

my symtoms went at 9 weeks, and all is ok here. I hope it all works out as i remember the MMC you had before. Good luck.

knackered76 · 04/11/2010 21:51

Thank you lucybrad. I'm sure it'll be fine, just easily spooked after last time :)

Mine came and went too - some weeks fine, some weeks felt awful and my sickness really lifted about 9/10 weeks.

knackered76 · 05/11/2010 14:44

Thankyoulucieloo :) I've booked in for a private scan in 2 weeks as I haven't for my nhs one until I am nearly 14wks and I can't wait that long to know everything is okay. Am hugely impatient Blush

I did the same :) I booked a scan for 10 weeks (turned out to be 9+4) best money I've spent, and even then it felt like a looong time to go until the 12 week scan. I think I would have gone insane waiting till the first NHS scan - was, and still am, a massive worrier about these things.

Best of luck :)

This happened to me and then came back with a vengenace a week later and I threw up several times a day for the next four weeks. Made me feel betetr though knowing something was happening. Then of course I worried from weeks 14-20 after throwing up had stopped before I had 20 week scan.

knackered76 · 05/11/2010 22:34

Not sure you ever stop worrying do you!

Hi Knackered- I'm nearly 12 weeks and sickness has eased off since last week. It only comes back if I don't feed myself :)

LDNlady · 06/11/2010 10:19

Hiya, I will be 9 weeks on Tues and my symptoms have eased right off too! Had an iternal scan at 7+2 and there was a nice strong heartbeat but I really expected to feel rough for a lot longer but my MW assures me I shouldn't worry and just to be prepared for the possible resurgence of it all. Oh joy!!

brightstar1974 · 07/11/2010 15:02

Hi I remember having the same panic around 9 or 10 weeks when I suddenly felt much better, and almost quite normal. I too had a MMC before, so was doubly paranoid that things had gone wrong again. But all was well- I did get a recurrence of morning sickness after 9 weeks, till about 13 but it was pretty intermittent rather than all day, like before. So basically, it's quite normal for symptoms to come and go. I'd always been under the impression that one was supposed to feel dreadful till 12 weeks when it all magically gets better! But it's quite an individual thing, and you don't have to feel constantly dreadful for everything to be just fine!!

Hi. I know it's hard not to worry - as I am the ultimate worrier - but my symptoms went at 9 weeks on the dot and have never come back. 16 weeks now and all is well - heard heartbeat again Friday. In fact except from the sore boobs is the first weeks and going off a few foods I've never 'felt' pregnant and still don't - at all! The bump tells a different story though. It will all be fine (even though I hate it when people say this to me) and the fact you have seen the little wriggler is unbelievably positive.
