I feel so angry

I was expecting mood swings, extra emotion etc when I got pregnant. But in me it seems to take the form of extreme anger rather than emotionalness (is that a word?).

I'm not crying at babies on tv adverts, but I am having to hold myself back from throttling people on a regular basis.

Someone please tell me this is normal and that I will go back to being my usually fairly pleasant and even tempered person soon? It's really upsetting me. Because half the time the anger is based on me being upset at the way people speak to me or do things, and that's ridiculous.

Emotion should do it Grin. Oh yes I always feel like this in the first trimester in particular - could take a machine gun to people. Hopefully it should pass I'm relatively calm now (third trimester) just DON'T CROSS ME! Seriously try not to dwell on things - it makes it much worse

Well, I don't know if it's normal across the board or not, but I certainly have had my moments!

I thought it was a bit like having constant PMT when I was pregnant. For the record, I was never in the wrong, other people seemed to get very unreasonable during my first trimester! Wink

Thanks. Reddaisy - I agree. Everyone else is an idiot! Grin

I thought I could physically kill the several smokers at the bus stop last night - all at once with my bare hands.

I'm so sensitive to ciggy smoke at the mo, & I whilst I can just about escape the smoke from one smoker at the bus stop 3 of them had me surrounded with no hope of escape. You can't smoke on outdoor tube platforms, but you can do what you want on the streets & at bus stops.

Arrrgggggggggghhhhhhh! Irrationally angry. Usually I just suck it up as I was an inconsiderate prat smoker in my younger years too so I just see it as payback for my own actions, but when preggers I get so enraged.

I'm surprised any of my friends are still my friends after my 3 pg. I was seriously unpleasant, it makes me Blush now.

Why don't the books tell you about this? They only tell you about the happy/sad hormones.
