Ok. Sorry to talk Vaginas.
I'm 37+3 with my second baby. For the last 2 weeks I've had a stabbing pain in my left Labia Majora, worse at night time and has had me in tears a couple of times. Wakes me up in the night. Saw the midwife on Friday who said it might be a varicose vein, she didn't have a look but said there was no point as they don't treat them anyway and the pain should shift as soon as lo arrives. ( no doubt it will pale into insignificance while lo is arriving!!) just after someone to tell me I'm not alone and is there anything I can do to ease it fir the next couple of weeks.

I know nothing about this kind of thing, but I a woman in my office was getting weird stabbing pains that turned out to be nerves getting messed around my pregnancy. She saw a chiro who realy helped

Had a vvein there myself, same stabbing pain you describe, it's horrible. Ice if you can stand it might help a bit. I've been careful with trying not to walk, carry things too much etc (almost impossible with 5 children) but it does seem to have eased right of. I'm really hoping that a few weeks after the birth it disapears all together but will have to wait and see i guess. I'm 34 weeks at the minute.
Someone might come on with something in the way of actual advice shortly but you're not alone in suffering Smile
take care.

Thank you! I'll give anything a go, and keep praying for an early arrival

If you can understand that post anyway? A woman in my office was being hurt by nerves that were messed up by pregnancy.
So far I haven't had any problems ... but am seeing the chiro regularly anyway! Grin
